Farm 779 specializes in raising peony flowers and garden produce using best management locally sustainable growing practices. Farm 779 is studious in assuring our soil biomass stays healthy and vibrant. Our farm is blessed with water from an artisan spring. Farm 779 cares about our growing environment, and more importantly the planet. We are a small family farm and we are very careful not to take more from the land and the community than we are putting back.
Farm 779 can harvest over 56 varieties of peonies. Most of our peonies are double white or double pink. We do offer peonies in colors of: green, blue, numerous yellows, sorbet and salmon. Our peonies are nurtured with only organic fertilizers, cared for and harvested completely by hand. They drink in the long Alaskan summer days, and typically blossom mid July – September. With average temperature highs of 68-70F, we typically see bud/blossom harvest temperatures of 55F or below, helping insure a quality peony. Farm 779 peonies are shipped within 12 hours of harvest. Our shipping point is Anchorage, Alaska, so Farm 779 peonies can reach most major markets within ten to twelve hours.
Farm 779 has garden produce with an emphasis in kale, carrots and five basic Chinese herbal herbs/plants of; Chinese Licorice, Baikal Scullcap, Chinese Wolfberry, Chinese Milk Vetch, and Ashwagandha.
